It looks like ABC wants to be in business with Bennifer. Zap2it.com is reporting that Ben Affleck is in talks to write and executive produce a TV drama about a second round of the American Revolution.
"Resistance" is set in the not-so-distant future, where viewers will find the United States divided into separate nations after a pair of devastating terror attacks.
Talk about family programming: ABC is currently the home of Mrs. Affleck's cult hit "Alias." Sean Bailey, one of Affleck's Live Planet partners, will also serve as executive producer. Bailey currently has a production deal with sister studio, Touchstone.
The ink on the deal isn't dry yet. In fact, it might still be in the "invisible" phase, so there's no word on when the show might air. Affleck and Bailey co-created the extremely short-lived 2002 reality/drama "Push, Nevada." -- Rachel Cericola
