USA Today is reporting that NBC has been slapped with a lawsuit over the reality show "Average Joes: The Joes Strike Back." Surprisingly, three guys have surfaced to claim that many of the twists in this summer's installment were their ideas. That's right; they're admitting that and they've got it notarized!
They claim the network used their story lines and even casting ideas. This includes the use of plastic surgery on the eliminated Joes to try to win the pouty prize's affections a second time around. Maybe they should sue "The Swan." Or even "Extreme Makeover." Or any makeover show, for that matter. If they're trying to stake a claim on that roller derby episode, the makers of "Rollerball," "Dodgeball" and even some old episode of "Laverne & Shirley" might want to have a word with them.
Thankfully, the trio has been able to put a price on their suffering to the tune of a cool $40 million. If they win, I am going to sue them for making me watch. It makes for a better case, doesn't it? -- Rachel Cericola
