Howard Stern Leaves E!

Yahoo! News says the E! Entertainment network is "pulling the plug" on "The Howard Stern Radio Show." Did they need to make room for more "Wild On" episodes?

The Stern TV show has been part of the network since 1994, when people barely knew what E! was. It has been a consistent performer in the ratings for the network.

No word on whether Stern plans to bring his satellite program to an outlet like HBO, although I wouldn't be surprised if Sirius has video plans in the works. MSNBC recently reported that Sirius is working on increasing its capacity to include more audio channels as well as video.

The last new episode of "The Howard Stern Radio Show" will air July 8 on E!. The network plans to show reruns as long as people keep watching. -- Rachel Cericola
