Fox just announced the audition locations for "American Idol" Season 8, reports MovieWeb. As usual, the show has decided to make things interesting by choosing some brand-new cities, including a stop in Kentucky and a trip to Puerto Rico.

First up is San Francisco, CA on July 17, followed by Louisville, KY on July 21; Phoenix, AZ on July 25; Salt Lake City, UT on July 29; San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 2; Kansas City, MO on August 8; Jacksonville, FL on August 13 and East Rutherford, NJ on August 19.

According to the latest press release, the show will once again be open to U.S. citizens between the ages of 16 and 28. Check out AmericanIdol.com to find out more. --Chris Sardelli
