Eliminated “Idol” Pops Up in Maxim

Amy Davis may not be the next “American Idol,” but maybe she’ll have more success in modeling. It seems the rejected “Idol” contestant recently posed for a Maxim Magazine photo shoot.

The photos, part of Maxim’s ‘Hometown Hotties’ contest, show a bikini-clad Davis in a variety of poses. Click here to see the pics. It’s probably a good thing this info came out after she was booted, since stuff like this usually gets a contestant kicked off the show, either by producers or America (see: Season 2’s Frenchie Davis or Season 6’s Antonella Barba).

Davis, who performed Connie Francis’ “Where the Boys Are” on last week’s ladies night, tanked. All three judges agreed she had pitch problems, but Paula Abdul offered some encouragement, saying “the camera loves you.” Well, I guess that’s a good thing, since modeling might be her new career. –Chris Sardelli
