McPhee to Make Movie Debut

Will Katherine McPhee become the next Oscar winner, or will her movie debut look more like "From Justin to Kelly?"

McPhee has signed on to star in the independent romantic comedy "The Last Caller." Star? Even Jennifer Hudson had Beyonce, Danny Glover, Eddie Murphy and Jamie Foxx to back her up.

According to the singer herself, she is up for a few bigger projects. However, she chose to start off her post-singing career with a bang, in a starring role -- that does not involve singing, says E! Online.

"The Last Caller" will star McPhee as a self-obsessed woman looking for love and the meaning of life. It will begin shooting this fall. -- Rachel Cericola
