"American Idol" Auditions Begin July 30

mmanoukian.jpgI'm happy to report that the auditions schedule for season 7 of "American Idol" has finally been announced.

The auditions will begin on July 30 at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium. However, you'd better get there two days early -- that's when they will start giving out wristbands.

Other dates announced include:
• August 6: Dallas' Texas Stadium
• August 10: Omaha's Qwest Center
• August 14: Atlanta (venue is to be determined)
• August 18: Charleston, South Carolina's North Charleston Coliseum
• August 22: Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena
• August 27: Philadelphia's Wachovia Complex

Auditions are open to men and women 16 to 28 years old on July 28, 2007 and eligible to work in the United States. Check out AmericanIdol.com for more specifics.

So many of you seem so anxious! Good luck; I hope to soon be commenting on your performances. The seventh season of "American Idol" will premiere in January 2008 on Fox. -- Rachel Cericola
