American Idol Fodder

Do You Believe the Mario Vazquez Allegations?

mario.jpgHot on the heels of Antonella Barba's controversy, another "American Idol" allegation is running rampant on the Web.

Apparently everyone had it wrong two years ago when speculation surfaced about why former "Idol" finalist Mario Vazquez made such a quick exit. According to RealityTVWorld, it's because Vazquez was caught with his pants down -- literally.

Former Fremantle Media employee Magdaleno Olmos has filed suit stating that Vazquez stared him down, followed him into the potty and started playing with himself.

When Olmos tried to leave, Vazquez grabbed him and called for him to come back. After reporting the incident to his superiors, Olmos was fired a short time after.

The whole thing just sounds way out there. First of all, why has it taken two years for this story to surface? Secondly, have you seen Vazquez? If Olmos was truly that offended or damaged, he should have pushed him to the ground and moved on. It doesn't look that hard to do.

Olmos is suing Vazquez, Fox and Fremantle Media as defendants in his lawsuit for wrongful termination. The whole thing sounds bizarre -- or at least incomplete. Either way, you can't possibly buy publicity like this.
