American Idol: 4 More Get the Axe

aalexander.jpgIt was another elimination night. I'm not sure how the show managed to add 30 minutes from last week, with less contestants. You've all spent enough time on "American Idol" for this week, so let's get on with the recap.

Taunton, Massachusetts is no longer in the house! Despite the cheesy pleas, it looks like nobody voted for Pedro, and Nick got the boot. I am sure my local newsteam will be very sad to see him going home, although now they can follow every crap he takes. In case you forgot, he was the one that pulled out of "American Idol" during last season's Hollywood stage. I don't think Nick is bad, but that Sinatra thing can be a tough sell.

No surprise, Alania was the next to get sent packing. Her comments after hearing the judges' recaps just reinforced that America made the right decision. I did feel sort of bad for her that she couldn't sing her swansong, but the piece of advice the judges really needed to give was that no one votes for someone that comes off as bitchy. Not that she would have been listening anyway...

Kellie Pickler came out with a grown-up, cute haircut. You might have missed it, since most of America was probably mesmerized by her boobs. I was wondering if she had those things last season, if it was the dress, or if my new HDTV really is the greatest piece of technology that I own. However, after Seacrest's comment about if shoes were the only thing Kellie spent money on since "Idol," I'm guessing I wasn't the only one that noticed Pickler's new purchase.

In the least surprising moment of the night: Leslie got voted off. I thought her performance last night had too many ups and downs, pitch-wise. In other words, "it was too pitchy for me, dawg." It looks like I wasn't the only one that thought that. Maybe if she had improvised last night like she did at the end of her performance tonight, people would have seen some personality and cut her some slack.

A.J. Tabaldo got the boot. I knew he wouldn't make it until the end, but I thought he would survive this week if not for any other reason than Sanjaya was just friggin' horrible this week. It just goes to show you that this really isn't just a singing competition.

Another surprise: Sundance crying. Be a man, dude. If not for your fans, then for your newborn son. It's only the second week of eliminations; you can't be that attached to anyone yet. I know I'm not. -- Rachel Cericola

What's with the malice on Kellie's ample bossom? Remind yourself that Kellie was practically a very young woman when she joined 'Idol'. At 19 years old you can never say she'll stop growing. If you have or had a girlfriend you'd know this. Compare your mother when she was 19 and when she got married. Notice any difference? Besides, Kellie look gorgeous in her look last night. Would you rather she be flat-chested?

As for the contestants who got the boot. I thought America only got one right, Alexander. Talent-wise, Sanjaya and Antonella should have left. But then again, it doesn't matter.

The fact that AJ went home over Sanjaya and Antonella didn't go home says to me that the judges need to select the final 12, not America.

As for Kellie, she was, in the words of Jim Carrey's The Mask, smokin'!

I'm sorry, but whoever said Kelly looked good last night must either spend a lot of time in the red light district or be the president of the Tammy Faye Baker fanclub.

Her makeup was soooo caked on that they probably needed a sledge hammer to get it off. It's a shame because I thought she sounded great and I hate country music
