American Idol Fodder

Famous Band Wants Chris Daughtry

cdaughtry2.jpgI hate to promote anyone watching "Extra," but the TV Squad says that the entertainment magazine show has something a little extra special planned tonight.

Apparently, a band is ready to make Chris Daughtry an offer. That didn't take very long. Supposedly the band is famous and "a household name." I am wondering which household though.

There have been rumors in the past that Fuel was interested in the former "American Idol" contestant, but your guess is as good as mine. I could also see him with a band like Alice in Chains. However, I can't see Alice in Chains rushing to "Extra" to make their announcement.

"Extra" airs every weeknight. Check your local listings for showtimes and channel info. -- Rachel Cericola

Editor's Note: Since "Extra" airs early in so many parts of the country, the news has already hit the Web that the band was, in fact, Fuel. So the only mystery that remains is: Since when are they a household name?

Another note: While I appreciate everyone telling me what a loser I am and how popular Fuel is... I never said they weren't popular, but a household name? That's not even close to the same thing.

Oh, I'm on your side, lol. So they made that song "Hemorrhage"...sure, instant dinner convo topic!

Please...what else have they done? I know I wouldn't know them, if it wasn't for that "angry period" between freshman and sophomore year. It's also the only reason I still remember that song "Red" from Chevelle. Ah, good times.

Now though, I'm sure Chris will give them more publicity. Now if they could make more Nirvana-esque songs instead of Creed-ish pop-rock to be played on Z-100 (NYC area), then I think Chris has found his vehicle for success.

But what about his own band? I wonder if he'll choose loyalty over a contract...this remains to be seen.
