Constantine Makes a Movie

constantine.jpgIt's a day that I feared would come for quite some time. MTV says that Constantine Maroulis has signed on to make a movie.

Now he's not going to be buddying up to Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible 3" or anything -- it's an untitled indie flick. Maroulis didn't seem to want to give away too many details, but when he promised it would be "super sexy," I sort of threw up in my mouth.

He's also taking on a role behind the scenes, working some of his music in there as well. Jeez: If he were any more of a multitasker, he might end up working the craft services table as well.

No word on a title of the movie or when it might premiere. -- Rachel Cericola

I know the title. "From Justin to Constantine: Will You Join Me on My Independently Produced Jazz Album?"

-- 1. Posted by: mac at March 22, 2006 8:05 PM

Pretty cool really. Wonder if it will be any good.

-- 2. Posted by: JT at March 22, 2006 8:21 PM

I can't wait to see Con on the big screen.

-- 3. Posted by: marge at March 22, 2006 8:53 PM

Good for you Constantine!!

-- 4. Posted by: Cathy at March 22, 2006 8:59 PM

He's not going to be doing anything. The man showed his true colors as the worlds biggest jackass (with the tiniest you-kno-what). Don't hold your breath, ConFan.

-- 5. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 9:37 PM

I read on a board called Greek Speak that Constantine's you-know-what was ever so slightly long, but not that thick. I guess they even make condoms for that particular shape and size.

-- 6. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 9:39 PM

Well your worst nightmare is my best dream. Many independent films have been very successful and respected...think Pulp Fiction and Brokeback Mountain. Now I realize Constantine is not an A-list star like John Travolta or Heath Ledger but that doesn't mean it won't be a great film. This is a great start for him and I'm very excited! Can't wait to se it! Oh and we will just have to wait and see if his CD is independently produced or not. I think quite a few haters will be choking on their whatever keep hating and talking. The fact is even you people who profess such hatred for Constantine can't stop thinking or talking aout's all good.

-- 7. Posted by: Lisa at March 22, 2006 9:51 PM

We can't stop thinking or talking about the guy in the back of the room playing with himself and drooling either. Just sayin'.

-- 8. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 9:58 PM

Wasn't Constantine playing with himself and drooling in the audience on American Idol last night? He looked a little too happy to be sitting next to Ryan Cabrera.

-- 9. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 10:00 PM

This is great for Constantine. I look forward to seeing this movie. I will definately get the CD too. I adore him.

I have a suggestion. If he makes you throw up, um...don't listen...don't watch? Just a thought.

-- 10. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 10:05 PM

Mom, stop contradicting me. He's never gonna do you. Neener!

-- 11. Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2006 10:08 PM

Why be such an ass, Rachel?
Heck, I never call anybody that, but you just brought it out.

Give the guy a break. He's worked hard to get where he is. Are you envious? Let him do what he will and let the results speak for themselves. All of his stage work has been outstanding, so we expect no less from a movie.

-- 12. Posted by: Anonymous at March 23, 2006 12:33 AM

What a nasty bunch of people you are. Jealousy rearing its ugly head.

-- 13. Posted by: A Lefson at March 23, 2006 6:56 AM

Here we go again. Anyone who doesn't think the man walks on water is jealous and nasty. Know why Rachel writes something like this? Because a LOT of people agree with her!!

-- 14. Posted by: Anonymous at March 23, 2006 8:46 AM

I think it is great that he is making a movie!! I for one can't get enough of him!! Too bad Rachel Cericola doesn't have any good sense about her.

Constantine is an awesome entertainer. He won me over on AI and I have been a fan ever since then. I have seen him perform live 5 times and he is fantastic.Very excited about the movie and upcoming TV show and solo CD.

-- 16. Posted by: Michelle at March 23, 2006 9:32 AM

Keep talking people, the fact that Constantine elicits such responses tells me what a huge star he will be. I think he is a truly gifted and talented man. I

I am so excited about Constantine Maroulis' movie! I have been waiting for this announcement and now that it is official, I am delighted. Constantine Maroulis is so talented. He is a great actor and singer. I can't wait to see him on the big screen!!!

Very cool!!!

-- 18. Posted by: sweetconni at March 23, 2006 9:41 AM

Constantine is a great performer; he's done plenty of professional theater. There are lots of film actors who can't do that. He has charisma and a very interesting personality. You feel drawn in by him when he performs, whether it's acting, singing or just photographs! That's what makes you remember him and makes him marketable.

-- 19. Posted by: Donna at March 23, 2006 9:54 AM

WOOHOO! Thanks so much for the article about the movie. Whether you like it or not, a movie with Constantine in it IS super-sexy and a lot of his fans are really looking forward to it. My suggestion: don't go see it if it makes you wanna hurl. Duh. I guess you didn't learn the first time how not to be disrespectful in your reporting, Rachel.

-- 20. Posted by: Kristin at March 23, 2006 9:56 AM

GOOD FOR HIM!!!!!!!!! He has worked extremely hard to get where he is, I support him 100% in everything that he does! And for all you haters out there, why waste your time posting ridiculous comments. If your not a fan, thats fine, don't listen, don't watch, don't comment!!!

Awww, poor Rachel,"threw up in her mouth a little bit". That expression is so last year.

For any of you who find this article amusing (as it was INTENDED to be), we've got a lot more (and flip flops) over at that Evil Pink Board.

-- 28. Posted by: Anonymous at March 23, 2006 10:58 AM

Constantine apologized to me so stop the hate. It is not his fault that I am insignificant and irrelevant now, just like the rest of PFFFFTsob. If you would have missed a dose of the Kool Aid over a year ago, you would have realized that Betty was dead. I can't believe how gullible all of you "Bettys" were. Thanks though, for giving the boys their 15 minutes of fame. Betty is Dead. Long live Constantine.

-- 29. Posted by: Kim at March 23, 2006 11:16 AM

Constantine needs to eat more beef and broccoli. It keeps you from getting constipated and makes the best rich and creamy farts. They linger for hours in a green fog. Mmmmmm beef and broccoli.

-- 30. Posted by: Beef Broccoli at March 23, 2006 11:25 AM

listen, buying your own video camera and shooting movies with your music in it does not make it an Independent Film.
The only place I could think of that would actually show a Constantine Maroulis "movie", independent or not, would be in any video file uploading website like

Hey Rachel....You will eat your words... Constantine is now and always be an amazing singer/actor/entertainer He's a kind and generous man... and he's sooooo easy on the eyes too. Maybe Rachel, you should get your head out of your butt and then you wouldn't be throwing up in your mouth like that.

Long Live Constantine!

-- 36. Posted by: Denise at March 23, 2006 11:59 AM

ConFan needs to take a deep breath and lay off the ouzo. Nobody hears about this guy anymore unless you are "in the loop." He has no show, no solo cd, and maybe an indie movie. Which probably involves porm. It was a nice run but now it is over. He has mental issues and everyone who knows him well hates him. I applaud him for making it last as long as he did. Now, let's talk about someone with REAL talent. Chris Doughtery.

-- 37. Posted by: Anonymous at March 23, 2006 12:03 PM

I think Chris Daughtry should eat some Beef and Broccoli. Maybe then he might be as interesting as Constantine. If Chris was on stage with a rich and creamy green fog around him, it might help with his singing. He seems too uptight. He needs to relax in the calm and aura of a beef and broccoli fart.

-- 38. Posted by: FAN OF CHRIS at March 23, 2006 12:07 PM

I really feel for Constantine. This is just a guy who possesses the skills, knowledge, abilities and training, to get him closer to his dream. And all people do is bring him down. Keep going, Constantine and don't let anybody or anything stop you. This is all part of what you signed up for (welcome to Hollywood!). Just focus on the positive, stay the course and it will be all worth it in the end. You are loved . . .

-- 39. Posted by: Anonymous at March 23, 2006 12:10 PM

As for me, I am so relieved that he has finally cut the cord with that crappy band of his. I am glad he was able to eeeek some publicity out of the 2 weeks of touring with the band because he was able to get in the media and FINALLY PAY OFF THAT COUCH DEBT. If PFTSOB would have had any talent (other than the only thing they had going for them which was Constantine) they would have been signed. I am glad Constantine went on that final winter tour, if only to get some publicity for himself. I am enjoying the breakup immensely.

And what is with the Beef/brocoli fart person? Should I eat some too? Should the Betties? Should the Betty Boys?

I love Constantine.

-- 40. Posted by: Betty Who Whu at March 23, 2006 12:18 PM

I know Constantine personally. He is a great friend. He talks to me 10 times a day and tells me what he is doing. I am going to marry his brother Athan. You are all jealous of me because I am an insider and know all that there is to know.

I thank God that this info has finally been made official! "Way to go babe... your gonna go a long, long way!! All of your true & loyal fans have been waiting on this for a while now".
Constantine might have haters and bashers rambling on out there right now, but let me tell you all something... this guy has more dedicated, devoted, loving, caring, and supportive fans as well as he does friends out here, and this is where all of us will remain.... by his side 210% come hell or high water! Having your own opinion is fine, but you don't have to be so obnoxious and cruel to Constantine and his fans!! We are all here for the longhaul with him and can't wait to see what this amazing guy has coming up next ;-)

Sure he is starting in Indie films on C not A list this is how all of Our Favorites started and got their names out there for all types of people even those who don't get The new Rock & Roll look, and actions of so called Fans!

It is so good to see there is more positive here than negative posts!

I can only hope that all of you get peace of mind someday!!
This is for all of you that are spewing the venom all over the internet & realize what fools you are making of yourselves!

I am sooooo excited to hear that Constantine is going to star in an independent film. One of my favorite actors did one call Trainspotting. His name is Ewan McGregor and he did full frontal nudity. I would love to see Constantine doing full frontal nudity and love scenes. I'm getting lady wood just thinking about it.
GOOD LUCK Constantine in all that you do. I love you!

I'm SO excited about all of Constantine's projects...the solo album, TV show, and now this indie film! I haven't been lucky enough to see him in RENT, JCS, or anything and I can't wait to see this guy's acting chops! And for the world to see his unquestionable talent and character. Con's personality shines through in everything he does, I know he'll bring it to the big screen and that is sure to be a treat.

He's worked so hard to be where he is right now- I mean, look at all the people talking about him! Whether you posted positive comments or just downright hateful ones, you're putting his name out there. So thanks: to fans and haters alike. Y'all can puke all you want, I'll just be celebrating this man's amazing talent and success in the best of health.

What a great place is internet. Any fool like Ms Rachel has a space to write silly things. And of course a lot of people agree with her because the world is full of non thinking people. Darlings, it's not that every time someone says negative things about Constantine we came to say it's out of envy. The reason we say that is it because it's the truth!!! Think a little: the movie is not ready yet and she already think it will be bad. It's prejudice! And lack of inteligence. She is the kind of person who feeds herself with human energy! Sort of vampires. And these people attack those who are talented and beautiful as Constantine. They usually prefer the ugly ones to idolise, or so they say. During the nights they drool about the beautiful ones, believe me. Because the ugly ones don't have the good energy they need. It's possible we won't enjoy Con's movie, but it's also possible we will. Any person with brains will wait till it's ready to give an opinion. She is already talking about threwing up only because it will be sexy. Come on. Rachel and all Con haters. Give up! Relax!Surrender! You will feel much better. Because what you feel in fact is...passion. You don't fool me. Try love, is so much better! Great place is the net, as I also have a space to say the truth.

Constantine is a small time player with major issues of insecurity coupled with an elephantine ego. His acting ability in his personal life is, at times, truly outstanding. In his professional life... not so much.

-- 62. Posted by: Thespian at March 23, 2006 4:56 PM

Since Con has left the Betty Boards all the hot chicks have left. All that are left are the really skanky, fat and ugly ones. I mean, the bottom of the bottom of the barrel. Where have all the hot chicks gone?

Darling, don't you know that will rot your teeth out and give you bad breath? Go rinse out your mouth with soap right now!

I take issue with the poster that suggests Rachel is letting millions of people know about Constantine's upcoming film. She will never have that sort of a readership base.

-- 65. Posted by: Dental Assistant at March 23, 2006 6:32 PM

I am not a Constantine fan or a hater, but this is the funniest board I have ever seen....

First you have people bashing this writer because she is a "hater." But everyone else here is hating on her. I guess 2 wrongs make a right?

Even funnier is the person that said "she will never have that sort of readership base." Got you to read though...

Could have been funnier posts, but it was too much for me!

-- 66. Posted by: ME at March 23, 2006 7:15 PM

Hey I think Constantine in a movie is great. Not only well I go see it. I'll be the CD. I am excited about his sudden rise in fame. Let's just face it. Constantine really is all that.

-- 67. Posted by: Lea at March 23, 2006 7:29 PM

Now this is great news, just think I get to sit in a dark theater, and look at him to my hearts content. Then I'm sure there will be a DVD.
Now for the writer of this piece Rachel Cericola, if your boss makes you go see it be sure and buy some popcorn so if you do throw-up you'll have some place to do it.
I can't wait myself.

-- 68. Posted by: mary at March 23, 2006 7:39 PM

After reading this “article”, I put Miss Rachel’s writing talent to the test. I copied and entered her “article” into a skill site to determine grade level. This test revealed Miss Rachel’s writing grade level is 7.1. Could this mean the writer is a fairly intelligent seventh grader or could she just be a very poor adult writer? Although I believe the later to be true, some of the phrases such as “threw up in my mouth” and the writer’s distaste of sex speaks of a seventh grader.

Although Constantine’s fans appreciate any publicity given him, I believe the writer would be better covering more age appropriate material.

-- 69. Posted by: Donna at March 23, 2006 7:41 PM

Wow Donna: You might win the award for "most time on her hands." Congrats!

p.s.: It's "latter," not "later." Maybe you should consider taking your own test.

-- 70. Posted by: 8th Grader at March 23, 2006 7:48 PM

Are we sure this Rachel Cericola is a woman? Now I could see why men might be threatened Constantines sexuality, how could they compete. Maybe she swings the other way,(not that there's anything wrong with that), but it would explain her problem.

-- 71. Posted by: angie at March 23, 2006 8:01 PM

"but when he promised it would be "super sexy," I sort of threw up in my mouth."

Can't wait to see it...just bet in a year or so if you google the dood you might find some GS freak myspace page telling you where to download it. they say in New Jersey..fagetababoutit...and stay away from Hollyweird. The rehab and shrinks are better in New York anyhow...

This is all based on a fanfic that had to be self-published??? Oh yea, unless the Dood makes nice with his Oscar date Ron Jeremey to hire a third rate porn crew, he and his loser LA possee can use their hand held video cameras.

He needs to save his money...he needs to make rent (unless he wants to move to his Mom's basement and sleep with the boxres of fan mail and gifts he claims to read)

Wake up, smell the stale coffee, come to the light and embrace reality.

If you drool over this idiot your are bigger losers than he is.

Read something besides a message board, would you? Read the industry trades. HE HAS NO TV SHOW NOW OR EVER. Pilot season is over, the networks are announcing their fall schedules and My Big Fat Ego Driven Cokehead [TV Fodder Edit] Life isn't on it. Even studio-backed movies take at least 18 months from filming to the theaters, and this one will get made just you should believe him when he tells you he has a record deal.

His only upcoming thing is a stint in rehab for the booze smoke and blow he's doing. Ask anyone who hangs at Mood or the other LA clubs.

I'm glad Constantine is going to be in a movie I really enjoyed seeing him on American Idol last year doing Bohemian Rhapsody and I think I Love You. He Kind of reminded me of Johnny Depp when I saw him on the show last week he's looking hot. Anyway I would like to hear a solo CD as well-I read that he left his Rock band maybe we'll hear more from him now. We need more actors who can sing too. There should be more musicals.
