24: Season 6 Casting Info

Regina KingWarning: Here Be Spoilers!

Alright folks, hope you are ready for the bits of news that will slowly be leaking its way out of the production of Season 6 of 24 ... let's get rolling!

After word that the creepy guy from Ghostbusters 2, Peter MacNicol, would be joining the cast, we now know that Regina King, best known for her roles in Jerry Maguire and Ray, will be joining the cast as a "powerful advocacy lawyer" who also happens to be the sister of David and Wayne Palmer!

(I'll stay off of my soapbox and refrain from mentioning how a Palmer sister has never been mentioned before ... oops, I said it.)

Don't worry, though, we won't be treated to only one Palmer this season, as word is also out that Wayne Palmer will be back in action ... but as the president. Nice.

And the Palmers live on. -- Jason Unger

All I want to know is whats happening with jack, does America get him back, or he escapes or what

I just wonna say that 24 is the most stunning series that i have ever watched to the extent extent that I found a common thing between it and Cigarettes.... they are both addictive, once you start you can't stop.

Maaaan, When I start watching 24, no fly is allowed to fly in the House.
Yesterday I have watched 4 Episode in a row. from 10pm to 2 in the morning...I just love it.. characters are so professional , they all assume their choice and responsibilities ..Great Great Show.

Is season 6 available?

Just saw 24 season 6 preview on fox.com and must say...I am totally disappointed.

Instead of a black-op mission where CTU enter the territory of China to rescure JACK. Following will be happening in Season 6...

President: David's Brother (Perhaps)

America is in deep trouble. People are getting killed on daily basis by terrorist all over the states. The situation is out of control. CTU or any other American Agency finding it hard to fight these terrorist....So....
they import JACK back to America (with some kind of negotiation with Chinese) to HELP THEM FINISH THE TERRORISTS....

I am disappointed......but will watch the few episodes of the show...:-(

24 is good for you. Cigs, crack and exctasy are bad for you.

and ... @ pulp fiction -
probably alot of 24 seasons look disappointing on paper. But they always pull off a fantastic show that never loses momentum. The writers did mention that this season would take a different turn.

The Pulp Fiction flik ? now that was a disappointment.

I really fan 24

I just saw a preview for season 6, and jack has this Charles Manson thing going on behind these bars, and the next thing I know, he is all trimmed and back in action. I bet it will start on January 7th, because 24 always starts on the first Sunday of the New Year. I am planning my progress goals around the celebration 6 weeks from now

I'm a die hard 24 fan like everyone else and can find little fault with the show for the 5 seasons its been on. BUT if Jack Bauer just walks back onto the scene after what happened to him in the season finale of last year I'll be pissed. No Jack escaping and running for his life, no navy seal team going in to get him...if the chinese sign some papers and hand him back that will be biggest bag of donkey doe-doe I will have ever seen. They better not screw this up!

MY BOYFRIEND IS A DIE HARD 24 FANATIC,HE LOVES THE SHOW. HE HAS NEVER MISSED AN EPISODE. HE ALSO COLLECTED ALL THE BOX SETS OF EACH SEASON OF 24. HE HAS THE PS2 VIDEO GAME AND THE DVD BOARD GAME. IF HE HAD HIS WAY EVERYTHING IN OUR HOUSE WILL BE OF 24. I WOULD ALSO BE PISSED AND SO WOULD HE IF JACK ESCAPES THIS WITH NO PROBLEM. HE BETTER GET SOME ACTION OUT OF IT... AND WE BOTH HOPE THAT ELISHA CUTHBERT IS STILL GOING TO PLAY KIM... KEEP MAKING SEASONS 24... 24 ROCKS

you know what?!
God i can't wait to see Audrey's reaction when she sees Jack after this whole time!...90% says that she will cry!!...anyway, LOVE IS THE ANSWER!!!

Hi my husband down loaded the first four episodes, jack does not escape, Palmer does a deal with the Chinese to get him back. hes raw from what has happended to him but in True Bauer sytle he will put his life on the line for his country.
Jack is supposed to die for his freedom,as that is what the terriosits want and that is supposed to stop all the terriosts killings, which he accepts and does not want Audrey or Kim to know he has been realised from the Chinese. But in true 24 style theres a twist in the tale, though his release is not the great escape we were all hoping for 24 does let us fans down with the rest of it

i've seen the reviews. basically its the best season ever. Wayne palmer goes out with kim, and jack finds out that chloe obrian is his sister. Jack takes the chinese on all by himself with the use of all sorts of weapons. turns out jack's the terrorist . all his actions in the last seasons are to gain trust. now he's gained everyone's trust he goes all out with a nuclear strike on us soil from china. thats it. he joins chinese ctu. they let him off. pizza time. and it all starts again in chinese with subtitles.
cheers

I totally agree with some earlier comments .... the show could have taken an interesting turn with black ops being run from China to extract Jack. In fact, Jack could have spent the whole season over there on some mission once he was extricated. The show's writers blew a good opportunity, and instead returned to the old format which is getting tired.

Just borrowed a friends copies of season 6 as we do not have it on terrestial tv in the UK. I have watched 4hrs so far and all I can say is 'disappointed!' I was all excited to see Jack rescued from his Chinese prison. But no, a lame excuse to get him signed over to the US was the answer. Now it is back to the usual format of islam and nukes and frankly I am so bored, which is a shame cause I used to love the show. They really need to revamp the show totally and get rid of CTU. There must be loads of stories they can do away from CTU, and even Jack if needs be. This show could run for yrs if they changed the characters every so often. Bring back Chase Edmunds, the next best thing to Jack. I mean where is he? He was brilliant in season 3 and we never saw him again. Maybe get rid of jack and CTU and do a story with Chase as a policeman etc.
