24: The Game Site Launches

Can't wait until February 28th to start torturing people? Well now you can on the official Web site for 24: The Game.

The site launched yesterday and includes background information on the game, a moveable Jack Bauer mode, and even the chance to interrogate a suspect until he tells you what's happening for the day.

It's also got a few videos from Carlos Bernard, Reiko Aylesworth and Elisha Cuthbert on the game. Weird thing, though, unless it's my speakers, it sounds like all of them are wearing mouth retainers. Anyone ... Bueller ... anyone?

Gamespot says the game will retail for $39.99 and is rated M.

MINOR SPOILERS

The plot of the game takes place about six months after the events of Day 2 and involves an assassination plot against Vice President Jim Prescott, filling in for David Palmer while he recovers from the attempt on his life by Mandy at the end of season two.

The cast includes all of the expected folks -- Jack, Tony, Michelle, Kim, DP and, according to the Wikipedia entry for the game, Chase, Chloe, Chappelle, Aaron, Agent Baker (back from the island, I guess), and even Adam with the virus-infected sister. -- Jason Unger
